I have to put my two cents’ worth into the discussion on the Housing Market after a misleading headline appeared on the front page of the AZ Republic 12/6/07.

Last week I attended a seminar given by one of the economists quoted — Elliot Pollack. I’m sure he wasn’t thrilled that his 120-screen powerpoint presentation was boiled down to the following quote: “There is no quick fix. We have a long way to go. Boy, it’s a mess.”

Throughout my career in sales, I have taken note of and documented many of the common characteristics of top performing sales people I have had the opportunity to work with. Most of the characteristics, skills and traits I have identified can be developed by almost everyone.
One trait that always stands out and is present in almost every top performing sales person is what I like to call “Selling Confidence”. Selling confidence is a combination of three main beliefs: belief in yourself (self confidence), belief in what you do and a belief in what you sell.
