4 “must Ask” Questions For A Potential Supplier
When setting up a dropshipping business you need to make sure (before you sign on the dotted line) with a supplier that they answer these 4 simple questions. If you ever find a supplier on your own, and are not sure if they are a legitimate company that dropships, then this will help you not get burned in the long run.
Questions to ask:
1. Do you dropship? You want to make sure they will dropship the products for you. You do not want to have the products shipped to you (or your house), and then have to take a trip to UPS or FedEx and ship them out yourself (every time an order is placed).
2. Do you have a minimum order amount? You want to make sure that you can order one product from them, or 1000 and its not a big deal. If you are selling toasters on your website, you do not want to have a supplier make you purchase 1000 at a time when you only need one. (You could end up with a lot of toasters that could take to long to sell).
3. Are you a true wholesale dropshipper? You want to make sure you can’t go down to your local Wal-mart and get the price for a dollar cheaper. That is not a true wholesale dropshipper/supplier price. They are just ripping you off. (So beware!)
4. Do you allow your products to be sold everywhere online? Besides wanting access to sell them on your website, you want to make sure you can sell the products on eBay, Amazon, Shopping.com or any other buying solution sites. You will always be able to make more money selling products online if you expand your selling products outside your website.
These are basic yes, but they could save you in the long run from getting burned when trying to establish a relationship with a potential dropshipper.
