There are A Lot of people out there thinking about their options as the Big Three try to Streamline their businesses. GM, Ford and Chrysler have offered Buyout Packages to Tens, maybe Hundreds of Thousands of Hard Working Americans in the last 2 plus years.

I owe a lot to the UAW. My Dad worked at GM for over 30 years. We lived an Upper-Middle class lifestyle and my parents were able to put 4 kids through college. He was lucky and able to Retire fairly comfortably before the industry went completely downhill. My Dad did the job because he had to. For us. There was not another Good Alternative for him to provide for his family.
As the Big Three and other companies Streamline operations, these jobs and the Lifestyle that comes with them are disappearing very quickly. Many people are Terrified about what the Future holds. I live in Metro-Detroit and I’ve seen and understand these fears. I think you should Harness the Energy of that Fear and turn it into the Opportunity to Create a Better Life.
