Work At Home - Is It For You?
You know that most American workers, (80% according to the Wall Street Journal) would love to work at home, don’t you?
Imagine how wonderful it would be to:
- Be home with the kids instead of sending them away to day care
- Have the freedom and control of being your own boss
- Be able to control your income
I am sure you have the same dreams.
However, the fact that you are reading this article tells me you have moved beyond the dream stage.
You have decided you want to have a work at home business, if you could figure it out.
Let me tell you a little story about that, about making decisions.
There were 5 birds sitting in a tree. One decided to fly away. How many were left?
The answer is five. I said 1 bird decided to fly away, I didn’t say he flew away.
Unfortunately, my friend, that is as far as most people get. They make a decision to do something, yet never do it.
I sincerely hope that you are an exception and that after reading this you will take action, you will start or buy a work at home business.
There are generally 4 concerns that keep people from starting their own work at home business:
1. Lack of money
2. Lack of time
3. Too much risk
4. Lack of know how
Ironically, the Internet, the same technology that’s making it possible for big companies to outsource even high paying, white collar jobs; now makes it possible for a growing variety of work at home businesses to flourish.
You are no longer limited to stuffing envelopes or assembling samples at home.
In fact, some experts, such as economist Paul Zane Pilzer, are touting the work at home business as the model of the future and the economic savior of the American middle class.
These new businesses can potentially solve the most common fears people have about starting their own work at home company.
1- Lack of money
a. Most cost less than $1,000 to start
2- Lack of time
a. They can generally be started on a part time basis
3- Too risky
a. You are not risking much money or time
4- Lack of know how
This is one of the biggest benefits of this model. You buy into a turn key operation, a franchise in everything but name.
Although your work at home company is completely yours, it is plugged into the “Mother Company” via the Internet.
In reality, your little work at home company has the resources of a Multi Million dollar corporation supporting it.
Company policies and procedures, administrative and technical support, marketing research, payroll, accounting and training are only a mouse click away.
Your task is to distribute the Mother Company’s products and services.
Distribution represents about 80% of the cost of an item so outsourcing distribution to a network of independent distributors who act as the company’s unpaid distribution arm makes a lot of sense.
The key to success for your work at home business is to distribute as much of the company’s product or service as possible. To do this most effectively, you will engage as many subagents as possible.
The marketing plan allows you to leverage the time and money of these subagents while not being responsible for them as employees.
Just by building their own businesses, they are building your business.
Whenever you or one of your subagents makes a sale, you get paid.
Whether you choose to go to work next week or go on vacation, money is still coming in; unlike a doctor, lawyer or corporate employee.
You own the business, the business does not own you!
If you are with the right Mother Company, in the right industry, with a hungry and growing market and have a desirable, profitable product, you are set to go.
You merely build a large team and become the CEO of a Multi-Million dollar, work at home company that’ll produce passive income, equity and eventually financial security and independence.
Hopefully, the information I have given you will lead to a better understanding of work at home businesses and will encourage you to start your own, soon.
